We’re big fans of Hollywood Hills hideaway, musicbox mystic and all round cult hero Ariel Pink and his magnificent, luminous Haunted Graffiti here at Turnstile. Over the last ten years or so, Ariel has quietly amassed a huge catalogue of warped, wired pop classics from (or for?) a nuclear near future. Listen to “Mistaken Wedding” here, an oxygen-high elated, psychotic soul elevator jingle for a spiritual ascent into the centre of an enormous, universe engulfing mushroom cloud in which you movie make out with every girl you’ve ever been mad for in stomach-lurching, brain-swelling slowwwwwwmottttttttiiiiion.
